Bass Rock

Every sea kayaker should paddle around Bass Rock at some stage. One of the most important gannet colonies anywhere in the world, in the breeding season it is a remarkable place, barely an inch of bare rock left visible.

Heading out through the distinctive platforms and channels that characterise this section of coastline.

One of thirty-plus thousand gannets.

And heading home.
