CHARLIE’S BOB GRAHAM ROUND

By the time most runners start to think about attempting the Bob Graham, they will have years if not decades of fell running experience to call on. Charlie Parkinson on the other hand, wasn’t even 20 years old. All the more remarkable then, that he found the resolve not only to complete the round, but to do so in 18hrs 58mins – the fastest recorded time for anyone under the age of 20 at that time (June 2021), and possibly still. Whether the race with another team that developed as we dropped off Scafell was sensible or not is another matter.
